Colcord House is an ongoing project and dream for us. We are now in the process of renovating two 5000 square foot houses side by side in one of Waco's former "Silk Stocking" districts. The street cars ran from downtown Waco to within a block of Colcord Avenue, where many fine large homes were built by bankers, doctors and pioneering retailers during the first quarter of the century. In our effort to save a piece of the history of Waco, we plan to share our homes as Bed and Breakfast and Small Conference Center. Colcord House is a Georgian two story home built in 1924. It is pleasantly decorated with family and collected antiques and art befitting the early era of the house - the 20's through the 40's.
